Today I am celebrating my first year anniversary at GxS. The emotions that I am feeling are almost indescribable as I look back on a long period of challenges, but also one filled with excitement and enthusiasm. I am proud and happy to have gone through months of dedication and hard work, contributing to the success of GXS and also developing myself into a more professional employee. The memorable moments throughout the past year have added a special color and meaning to today. My emotions are vast, including happiness, joy, gratitude, and pride. After a year of working at the company, I have experienced many memorable moments and feel very proud to have overcome many challenging obstacles.
- Initially, when I first went abroad and started working in a new environment, I felt very awkward and unsure because I did not know much about the culture, customs, communication, and my English was also very limited. The language barrier made me feel very insecure when communicating with colleagues and international clients. I realized that to work effectively and communicate well with foreigners, I needed to improve my language skills.
